By the end of this workshop, staff will be able to:
- Name the five systems. — Daily Arrival, Returning After an Absence, Family Partnership, Early Pattern Recognition, and Adult Consistency — one shared vocabulary the whole building holds.
- Tell the difference between reprimand and routine. — Recognize when an arrival, return, or family-contact moment is running on personality instead of a designed, repeatable system.
- Read a pattern before it becomes a crisis. — Explain why radar (checking pace every 2–3 weeks) catches a pattern in October that autopsy (checking once a semester) only finds in April.
- Turn a barrier conversation into partnership. — Respond to a family naming a real barrier with problem-solving instead of a warning letter.
- Run a consistent welcome-back routine. — Greet a returning student within five minutes, scaffold their catch-up work, and re-anchor them with a friend — the same way, every classroom.
- Draft a real 30-day plan. — Leave with two named systems, a real owner for each, and a specific success check.

The Same Five Systems, Built for Every Developmental Stage
The core Presentations library gives every elementary teacher the same five systems and the same shared language. But a kindergarten team and a fifth-grade team are not solving the same problem — grade bands are vertical, not horizontal. Each band needs its own developmental version of arrival, return, family trust, pattern recognition, and consistency.
These four working sessions take the five systems developmental, band by band, then hand your leadership team the tools to turn all of it into lasting policy.
K–1 · Lower Elementary
“Learn School.” Build trust from zero with families brand-new to your building; make arrival visual and rehearsed for children who can't yet read a written routine.
2–3 · Middle Elementary
“Learn Through School.” Bring students into their own return with a real, small catch-up job; stand up a standing pace-review meeting that catches a pattern in weeks, not semesters.
4–5 · Upper Elementary
“Prepare for the Next School.” Protect dignity with private, discreet check-ins; teach students to read their own attendance pattern before middle school asks them to manage it alone.
Administration · The Leadership Capstone
Turn all three grade bands' input into five Attendance System Standards (Arrival & Access, Re-Entry, Family Partnership, Early Detection, Adult Consistency) — real policy, ready for the district and board.
Each grade-band session includes a working-session deck plus four companions:

Questions, answered
Everything you need to know before bringing this into your building.
Is this specific to our state's attendance codes and thresholds?▼
No — this teaches systems (arrival, return, family partnership, pattern recognition, adult consistency), not compliance reporting. A verification checkpoint in every deck reminds presenters to check thresholds and notification steps against their own state and district policy before presenting.
Can I edit the decks with our school's name and branding?▼
Yes. Every deck is fully editable in PowerPoint and Google Slides, with a customizable title slide and bracketed placeholders for your school/district name, presenter, and date throughout.
What's the difference between the Extended, Mid, and Mini formats?▼
The Extended Workshop is a single ~2-hour deep dive covering all five systems. The Mid Series splits the same material into three 60-minute sessions for a monthly PD rotation. The Mini Series is six standalone 15–30 minute sessions — pick any one for a staff meeting, any week. All three teach the same five systems, so staff build one shared vocabulary no matter which format you run.
What are “Grade-Level Bands,” and how are they different from the core Presentations?▼
The core Presentations are grade-neutral — what every K–5 classroom needs. The Grade-Level Bands take the same five systems and make them developmentally specific: Lower Elementary (K–1), Middle Elementary (2–3), and Upper Elementary (4–5) each get their own working session, plus an Administration Capstone that turns all three bands' input into building/district policy.
Do we need to buy the Presentations before buying Grade-Level Bands, or can we buy Everything directly?▼
Anyone can buy any tier — there's no required order and nothing is gated. Everything includes both the core Presentations and the full Grade-Level Bands add-on at a $9 savings over buying them separately.
What's included with a purchase?▼
Every deck ships in PowerPoint and PDF, plus an “Access Your Google Copies” page linking to editable Google Slides/Docs versions. Companion documents (Facilitator Guide, Discussion Guide, Implementation Tools/Guide, Participant Handout) are included per the product's contents — see the tier card above for the exact set.
What's your license and refund policy?▼
Single-building license — present these materials unlimited times within one building. This is a digital download; all sales are final. See our full refund policy for details.
